Creative Talents.

A couple of years ago when I was in year 10, so.... 2 years ago in my old high school we have a thing called Activities Week where you do one activity for a whole week. Well you do it for 3 days, but I guess they can't call it 3 day Activity or maybe they can, anyway back to the point. They have activities from going Camping over night, touring the city, and things based in school like fashion and the one I did, Animation.

I did these short Animation videos using a Digital Blue Camera taking photos and putting them all together. Doing this takes a lot of patience as the one animation took 2 hours to make. During the "Week" I created 6 animations with my friends and for your pleasure I have uploaded them to this blog post for your viewing pleasure.

Encounter with a Robot.
This was our first idea and I know its a bit shabby but
give me a break.

Discovery Blobs
It's what it says, they are blobs of plasticine and they discover
objects, I think this was the best out of all the animations.

Blobs in Trouble
This is another one of a series of three animations based around
the blobs, shorter than the one above but still good. There is a little
dialogue in there but you need to really listern.

Crime Doesn't Pay
This animation we were kinda forced into doing as our teacher wanted
to see what a paper animations looks like. Not getting our hopes up,
it come out pretty good.

3 Blobs in a Car
This is the final animation about the blobs and also the final one we
did in the week. This is just a quite idea which we came up with.
Again listern out for the dialogue in it.

Techinally Gaming Definition.

This evening, my older brother who isn't or not the biggest gaming fan commented on the PS3 when an Xbox advert was on. He first noted how Microsoft made the Xbox look much smaller than the Xbox Elite (which it is not). After that I then notified him that the PS3 Slim the same size as the Xbox. Then making the funniest comment on the original PS3 I have ever heard.

This is the Quote of the Day from my Brother:
"It doesn't surprise me that the slim is the same size as the Xbox as thePS3 is massive. It's like one whopping great big Fridge which should be inyour kitchen. If someone didn't know What it was they would say 'Shouldn't that be in your kitchen.'"

Guitar Hero World Tour. Wait, thats not new.

Me and the blogger Junkie Emerald Coast (Emyr) went into town on the release date of 11th of September for Guitar Hero 5. I was really undecided whether to get it but as he phoned me I thought, why not. So it all went well, I brought the Xbox GH5 and he brought the PS3 GH5 and I went back to his house and we played it there. After about half an hour. I really wanted to look at it. Opening it, I had a huge shock when I see that buying the Guitar Bundle for GH5 that they only sold me the old guitar from Guitar Hero World Tour.

The following day, I had went back into town to get the new one. I will give you one guess to where I brought GH5 and the idiots behind the desk would sell you a old Guitar,
GAME. I know even though I buy a lot of my games from GAME, they can be really Crap sometimes. That's only the start of the whole story.

Returning the game, it didn't go very well. My mum insisted that she came into GAME with me because they wouldn't listen to a kid. Going into GAME I said they that sold me the old Guitarfor Guitar Hero World Tour. They asked for the receipt which I had and they went back to trade it. Coming back with the same Guitar which I took in and they said that they don't have any of the new Guitars for the Xbox. The whole reason I brought the game with the Guitar is because I wanted the new guitar in GH5 which they didn't give me.

Explaining that I went into town the previous day to buy it with Emyr and he brought his on the PS3 , the only excuse they gave was that they haven't sold the new Guitars with the Xbox which I new was a total lie as I seen EXCLUSIVE Xbox videos with people playing the new guitar. After almost shouting to the top of my voice with my mum also the same, another person who works there came up and asked what was the problem I told him and he said that he could give me the game only for GH5 and give me the rest of the money back which would result in me not having the new guitar which I did want so I kept on arguing about it and finally he the guy who came over half way through (the nicer one) said that they would check the other GAME store and check the stock room again if they have any more.

And Surprise, Surprise they came back with the new one which in 2 minutes. What I think is that the first guy didn't even look for it. Anyway, my ranting a raving is over and I can now give my review on the game.

Guitar Hero 5 gives the gamer a whole lot of new choices. To play with any amount of instruments at one time, even for drums if you have them. Also if you have an Xbox like me or a Nintendo Wii, you can use your Mii which isn't the best with GH5 as the Mii's are rubbish qualityanyway, don't work as good as the Xbox Avatars, and really they are amazing. things available to all console users are that all the songs in the game are all ready unlocked and ready and there to play straight away if you are not a real person who likes the Career Which could be better than what it is.

In the Career you have the basic thing, go through it playing all the songs in the Career while unlocking venues. although another addition to the Career they have put in is challenges to complete while playing the songs. Challenges like, get the highest note streak as you can, hit as many chords as you can etc, and and you get Gold, Platinum or Cristal Disc's depending on who well you do. This isn't the best as if you don't have all the band instruments, you feel rubbish that you haven't really ompleted the challenge. The set list isn't totally the best but the same as World Tour, it has to grow on me.

The graphics are pritty cool. Even though from what I have said about it, it seems that I don't really like it, but I think it is really cool.
The Coner rating I think it deserves a:
8/10

Facing the Truth

Today, going into Game to buy Pure on Xbox I was struck buy 'The Beatles.' Today was the launch of the awaited 'The Beatles Rock Band.' Now I don't think this is very much of it as 1). I am not a Beatles Fan and 2). I Prefer Guitar Hero to Rock Band (and yes there is a difference). Although what did entertain me were the Guitar which were being sold in the Bundles, The Rickbacker 325 and the Grestch Dou Jet Guitars and the Hofner 500/1 Bass Guitar. Very cool and very different.

But then the truth struck me when I caught the bus going home. The Metro Newspaper was next to where I sat and the headline stood out, 'Beatlemania to strike again' and a picture of the game play.

The article was just generally talking about the Beatles history and how they have come so far that they are now in a game. To read the article click on the link,
Though the thing which most shocked me and is really true are the quotes which Pink Floyd star Nick Mason and Bill Wyman.

In the article it said that Sir Paul admitted to not playing the game. But then the worst thing that they could say bagging on the game but at the same time is the truth. Summary: Wyman said that "the game simulator makes fewer people dedicated to playing and instrument."

Along side Nick Mason commenting on it saying, "It irritates me having to watch my kids playing the game where if they spent as much time practising the guitar than pressing a few
buttons, they would be damn good by now.

This is technically true as I don't practice playing the Bass Guitar as much I should, but it's about doing something you like doing. And I like Guitar Hero (sort of like Rock Band but not the same).

For their information, Guitar Hero and Rock Band is good because it's easy to pick up and play unlike learning a real Guitar and you can play it with the family or friends without all of you having to learn a instrument.

Buying to Down grade.

Today was seen as the new PS3 Slim release date and did I see it. Adventuring into town today and popping into Game to pre-order the new Guitar Hero 5 game plus guitar, I was shocked by the queue. I changed my plans and just had a look around and intending to leave I was stopped by rain and Thunder.

To not go out in it I then decided to queue. Well the amount of the feelings which went through my body, amusement, shock as I looked down what now seemed the longest tills ever 3 PS3 slims brought at the same time and another straight after. I couldn't close my mouth from how stunned I was.

Even though all these things came over me there is a lot of things that need to be thought about first. Me personally I like the design of the new PS3 slim although I still really like the original PS3 design also, Score 1-1. Getting serious, the Slim has push buttons to switch it on ((not cool)also doesn't help that the colour doesn't go well with the black of the slim). Then only 2 USB ports when the PS3 has 4 and consumers 34% less power and a lot more things

What I want to get to is that what you are paying for is a PS3 which is Slimmer and lighter in weight which I see no point in as you will hardly pick it up, less power, some of the feature of the PS3 the new has less or even none of (USB Ports, no power switch etc).
And the Most important thing is that the PS3 Slim and PS3 are now the same price, really all you are getting is a worse PS3 and that you have been pulled into buying it for it's new look.

Score: PS3 Slim 1 - Original PS3 - Lost Count, so many.
