Aberystwyth News

This is the year which most counts in my life and if I don't get it right then it can go really wrong, this I am talking about A Levels final year, and ongoing from that choosing your university. As a good thing to do to be that little bit organised is going to a few university open days. A couple of weeks ago my friend was going to Aberystwyth Uni and as he offered if I wanted to go I said yes.

Summary. The University site was very nice, the course wasn't the right one for me and that is a big shame. But anyway to make the most of the day me and my friends went down into Aberystwyth town (which didn't take that long to look around).

Well as we were looking around on the sea front we came across this news sign in a Window of office license shop (sort of), and came across this,

Well I think this just shows what there is in Aberystwyth. After a bit of research and 79p down in my bank, I did find out that the shop is "Next". Well I think there could have been a better shop which could have opened.

A new Toy Story

On Saturday, I went to see Toy Story 2 3D in the cinema. A bit disappointed with the 3D but defiantly not disappointed with the film in the whole. The last time I saw Toy Story 2 most likely in 2001 when I was 7.

Well getting older everyone gets wiser and learns new things and learning these new things you can put them into content. Watching Toy Story 2 I understood a lot more than I did when I was younger and this resulted in a lot of laughter. Watching it really felt like it was a new Toy Story.

And then talking to may friends today about Toy Story, the brought up a very good point. Due to release June 18th Toy Story 3, they were afraid to go and see it because we are teenagers and not kids, my one friend said

'Most of the audience who will go and see
Toy Story 3 would be around our age as we
were brought up watching it.'

Although, even if all of the people watching the film were kids (hopefully quite), I would still go. it Toy Story, no one should turn down Toy Story.

As a treat hear is a Trailer of the new Toy Story and some of the plot. Enjoy the very sad, happy, funny and exciting Trailer of Toy Story. A very very must see in Cinema this summer.

R.I.P.W.A.B

If you don't understand the title, Rest In Peace Without A Blog.
I say this as out of my best friends who blog has
given up blogging,
Couldn't give up the time to do it
To busy
Not keen on doing it
Hated it
Couldn't hack it
Basically the whole reason why he joined was really that his friends (not really including me as it was ages before the started after me) had a blog. Well there's nothing like up on the Band Wagon
and jumping off it after a few months, not many post and abusing one of my blog posts.

Creative Talents.

A couple of years ago when I was in year 10, so.... 2 years ago in my old high school we have a thing called Activities Week where you do one activity for a whole week. Well you do it for 3 days, but I guess they can't call it 3 day Activity or maybe they can, anyway back to the point. They have activities from going Camping over night, touring the city, and things based in school like fashion and the one I did, Animation.

I did these short Animation videos using a Digital Blue Camera taking photos and putting them all together. Doing this takes a lot of patience as the one animation took 2 hours to make. During the "Week" I created 6 animations with my friends and for your pleasure I have uploaded them to this blog post for your viewing pleasure.

Encounter with a Robot.
This was our first idea and I know its a bit shabby but
give me a break.

Discovery Blobs
It's what it says, they are blobs of plasticine and they discover
objects, I think this was the best out of all the animations.

Blobs in Trouble
This is another one of a series of three animations based around
the blobs, shorter than the one above but still good. There is a little
dialogue in there but you need to really listern.

Crime Doesn't Pay
This animation we were kinda forced into doing as our teacher wanted
to see what a paper animations looks like. Not getting our hopes up,
it come out pretty good.

3 Blobs in a Car
This is the final animation about the blobs and also the final one we
did in the week. This is just a quite idea which we came up with.
Again listern out for the dialogue in it.

Generosity Overload.

Now some people can just get to over generous (I know two of them) but I think this is going too far. It all started with my brother having a Basketball match with his friend and in result at the end we gave him a lift home as he lives down the street.

It was his birthday and as a joke,
my mum said "Hey Shaun, have you got any cake there"
And some people don't know when people are joking and he said "Yeah, do you want some."
And someone would have to be crazy to turn down some cake.
My brother going down to get some cake come back with..........
I will just let you look for yourself

Now I don't know about you but this piece (not sure if I should call it that) is bigger than some birthday cakes we have when it's someones birthday in my family. Good me I only had a small piece of it, very nice.

Search and Destroy

The amount of wild weird and strange things you find on the Internet are amazing. The other day my brother showed me how I could get my Gamer tag from the xBox 360 on the computer and search all my friends and everyone in the world.

The way things work are so amazing and there must be some real reason why someone would create this and the only reason I could come up with is that they are so competitive that they want to beat everyone in the world so that they are the best (most likely this isn't the answer, just something funny in my head)

So in result I have used my skills in HTML and added my Gamertag from the xBox 360 on the side bar so check it out.

P.S. I have come to the huge conclusion facing me for months but I have made my choice. (Read this carefully)
Statement: Connor Knapton Prefers the xBox 360 to the PS3, I still have love for the PS3 but just like the xBox better. What I am not saying is that the xBox 360 is better than the PS3, I am not sure on that.

What, no way.

It has been a really surprising week, well so far, after a total of 2 day. But at the same time good.

1) On Monday, I had a surprising phone call saying if I want to go out shopping (without any money) and to the park (the park turned into a house). After 45 minutes shopping, We headed back as it looked like it was going to raining. We got to my friend, Emyr's house at 2:30 and played on the PS3 and the next time we looked at the time, amazingly it was 6:30. A very good day to start the week. When we went, we then said that we would should meet up for Dinner tomorrow.

2) Then today we meet up at Ty Glas as planned at Llanishen. And what an amazing meal, 10oz Gammon Steak with Chips and two Eggs. Also there is no Dinner complete in a restaurant without having a Desert. A Chocolate Cheese Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream drizzled in Hot Chocolate source. And on the odd occasion another Desert (ish). My favourite place in Cardiff was right next door and I wasn't going away where without having a STARBUCKS. As I was nearly full from dinner, I choose a Tall Carmel LIGHT Frappuccino.

3) And to finish off the day having fun, My Sister in Law invited me and my brothers over to have a Wii night. Now the Nintendo Wii isn't the best console ever but it is better than sitting at home doing nothing. And when playing it you come up with so many things which you can tell people who have one why it's Crap.

As I am on my Summer Holidays it seems like the days are going like the speed of light. I rest until 12:00 and try and do something after that, unless other things come my way. Eating my food I thought that I have had a Crap week and have done absolutely nothing. Then about 5 minutes later I realized I have done stuff all week and that it is only Tuesday Stupid.

When you get out of your weekly routine, your head goes everywhere in the week. No church or youth club signals the end of the week and not going to church, well it really seems like I am having a 14 day week.

Sadly, I have nothing else to do this week, hopefully something else will surprise me. The only thing I have to look forward to is getting the 'Green Day' Album '21st Century Break up.' IT BEST COME.

Give it up, give up and shut up.

When someone starts an arguement about anything, lastest games or what to do today, whatever, there is always one thing which can stop a conversation in my situation. As I am a Christian I really need to be careful what I say around certain type of people. "I thought you were a Christian."Recently people have been saying this to me and it really pushes my buttons.

When I get to stressed in arguements I do say things which I shouldn't say and the one thing people say is "I thought you were a Christian." Some people don't say it but the real reason people do say it is that they have no come back at tall and they don't admit it but they have lost and they don't have a come back.

The people who do say it is families and friends, in all people who know that you are a Christian. Just a warning to people who say it to me and to any other Christian, when you do say that we all know that really we have won the arguement and as we know this, take as long as you want to come up with a come back just to not hear that.

What I've Missed.

Throughout the time I have had off school since finishing my GCSE Exams and now waiting for them, I have had a lot of time to think and some of this thinking has come to good use, some has come to bad and some has really actually made me ill giving me panic attracts (seriously). But one thing I have realised is when I have been doing things I don't normally do.
I watched HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3 (note that the font is smaller because of my shame)

Watching High School Musical 3 it was like putting myself in their shoes as technically in the film they were going through the same thing as me, leaving school and deciding what to do next in the future. The thing I found out watching it is that even through it is a film and half the things in it would never happen in real life they were making the most of there last days of high school and the conclusion I came to is that my last days of St Teilos were CRAP.

I instantly thought that leaving school would be great to get away from all the bullies in my school. But the one thing I forgot was to be happy and sad about the very good friends I was leaving even the people who weren't really my best friends I was going to miss. Today I saw two of my friends, and even through it has only been a couple of weeks ago I had only seen them it really seemed like a really long time. Talking to them, they had done so much since leaving school, working getting paid £200 a week.

Since thinking like this during the final weeks of school and getting work done last minute and missing out on quality time with my friends (even through half of them thought they would have a couple of extra weeks off not coming in), I missed the last time I would be with friends. But coming to think about it even if I was to spent time with my friends during the last weeks I would feel most likely the same as I do now. I think meeting friends outside school now which I would not see now will feel really weird.

One thing I think I need to do is get in contact with people I would not normally get in contact with just to see them a final time. If I do, do that I would need t think of a place in Cardiff to go and I don't think my other friends would like the Museum as my best friends as it is the only place to go which is free.

Offically left, Good Bye and Hello.

Friday the 19th of June I had my last GCSE Exam (physics) but I did think of me leaving High School until the Prom which was on Wednes day the 24th. All dressed up in a Tuxedon (couldn't breath in it) and the prom being held at the Hilton Hotel. And after a night at the Hilton eating a stupidly over presented food which was lovely, having a few dances, judging people by there dresses and suits and also seeing teachers getting drunk, I now pronounce mysel offically left school.

In result, I don't need to put up with;
Siting through a boring lesson of English
Having attend 5 lessons a day
Put up with putting on a happy face to the teachers pretending I like them but not.
No need to wear uniform
and a lot more things.

Althrough there is always somethings you will miss when you leave somewhere.
I will miss seeing some of my other friends in younger years, also the occassional subject of Art and Miss Anderson and the funny times we had. Also leaving school togo over my friends house to play some games during lunch time but also the community of friends I had.

There are always down sides to things but there is I really hope good things to come going to St Davids College with a few friends but also meet new people and experience ne things there.

See you later St Teilos
Watch out St Daivds here I come.

Thoughts Which Make me Laugh

As my friend had taken my advice after many of time
telling him to create a blog, he has and now told our other friends
to create a blog and they have also done one, I had a witty thought.

[Thought and Quote]: I wish I was as good as making people
become Christians than I am
making people create blogs.

Making a Trends in a Bond.

After trying to hammer into my friend (Emyr) to start writing a Blog he has taken my advice, this so should be a historical moment. If you knew him, he sure is not the easiest to please. Well now he has taken my advice, as trends go the rest of the group are wanting to start Blogging (When the popular one starts blogging everyone else follows, but when I started it, it's was rubbish).

But on the brighter side of things:
1. I will have a lot more things to add to my Blog.
2. I can have more Blogs to read and comment on.
3. And best of all, I now have BLOGGING BUDDIES.

When Two Becomes One.

Today, I went to the place where all the young people are going today, The Museum. To be fair its the only place in Cardiff where you can go which is free (that's if you don't buy any food or gifts, I suggest that you don't). But the best apart of the Museum is the animals exhibit.

Seeing this animal exhibit through a window a big whale it looked from the back as hanging from the ceiling but then being informed that it was a shark. and most people when they come across this situation would do what me and my friend did. You always have to combine the two words together for shear fun. so for this it was WHALARK. It's definitely another in my book along side the woman turned in the man,
SHIM (amazing)

To the nth degree annoying.

Everyday some people have good days and some have bad days, but one thing which will make or brake these types of days is your friends being sarcastic. If your on a good day, sarcasm can be good like my friend Jongudmund, then any more than that then it becomes a bad day. Then if you are having a bad day and your friends or even family are sarcastic a little then, my advice, don't do what you are thinking to do like my other friend Emyr.
I am not saying sarcasm isn't funny but just to say know your friends limits to it and what type of day they are on before. On my defence, none of this applies to me none of it I tell you. But here's something which is very funny sarcasm.

All nighter

On Friday night the Church had a youth All Nighter which I did with the Church a couple of months ago. Again as usual with Glenwood Church, there is always a new experience when I do something with them. The new experiences this time is Guitar hero and muscle aches showing how much exercise I do.

The whole night was great playing playing games like extreme team ball (dodge ball to you) a treasure hunt at kick things off and games in the dark in a hall. I don't even think you call it games in the dark instead off games in the pitch black, I don't even caves are darker than what we played in, which was really cool. Comparing to saying up all night in your own home and staying up doing things really has it toll around about 3 o'clock sitting down, leaning up against a wall. Thinking about walking down to the lake I gave a miss as if I did, I wouldn't be back. So everyone loves playing guitar hero for hours on end.

But the 5 great thing about the all Nighter are:

  • Spending time with my friends
  • Playing the games in the dark (or pitch black)
  • Being the winning team in the treasure hunt
  • Not having to go to sleep
  • And just having a great time

Although, one thing troubles me. When you play games and standing to play guitar hero, Should your muscles really be hurting or do I not do much walking.
