Why we go by Welsh TIme.

I found out a while back what WELSH TIME was and why nothing starts on time (apart from school) and this is because I am and people I know are Welsh or have become Welsh from moving to Wales. But I only recently worked out why we have Welsh time and this is because Stupid Bus Services never arrive on time at a Bus stop (and people have no sense of time, but this is not the point)

As I have got a free Bus Pass now I have been using the bus for anywhere I go. Going to school and coming home from school, the down side of catching a bus to school is that you need to wake up and get out of the house earlier than you did before catching a Bus, annoying. Also getting a Bus to town and well anywhere. Form catching the Bus I have realised why us Welsh have such thing called Welsh time

But also realised why so many people:
  • Have bad days right from the begin to the end of the day because they have missed s a meeting or something important because a Bus is late.
  • Why some people have such good memories; as they practise remembering what times the Bus comes at their regular stop and also which Buses to catch.
  • Why regular people who catch a Bus have such good balance when on buses and in any uncomfortable situation.
  • And why people have no money, one because of the Credit Crunch and also for catching a Bus every day if they don't have a bus pass and a car or don't need it.

There is knowledge every where around us and things to learn, and when you do learn these things record them in a Blog, something you can look forward to doing on the odd occasion (and a substitute to doing something which has to done and you don't want to be doing i.e. House work, work in general or homework for me).

Guilty Pleasures

When I say guilty pleasures I know what you are thinking and dont. What I am talking about is watching videos on Youtube with things i shouldn't be hearing (swear words). My brothers showed me this and I laughed so hard that I cried (not a first) than I ever have before.
Here is the video for you to Watch; End of Ze World

Another Step for Freedom.

Last Thursday, I finally took a stand as I am now 16 and also got my free Bus pass allowing me to go anywhere on a bus in wales for FREE (all I need to do now is remember main bus roues). For the first time ever I went into Cardiff City Centre by myself, no annoying brothers, no mum dragging you into shops not normally met my men and telling you what to buy and what not to (not going with friends as well lets you get things done much quicker).

I went in to get a few bits and pieces spending around about £20 pound on one game, a mothers day card £7 headphones, a present for a friend and a simply shake for myself (treat) just shows who much £20 goes (not very far). Down side to it is that in town after school when finished getting home takes three times as long.

Then in youth getting informed by a friend that you can spend another £5 on top of 20 and get
  • 2 tops
  • 1 pair of shoes
  • 1 belt
  • 1 pair of shorts
  • 1 pair of sun glasses
  • and lunch for two people

This shows that my friend Thomas is the ultimate shopper and knows where to buy things very cheap or Primark is the cheapest shop in the world.

Not Enough, All LIES

The other day I had a Cadbury's (now fairly traded) low calorie Hot Chocolate and as I am on a diet I measured out how much water it would equal out to the amount of calorie it says. The amount of calories was 40 and this was 200ml of water. As I was not to good at measuring I measured hot water in a measuring jug and poured it in a cup. Well the shock which came to much face. Adding the hot water, it didn't even full half of the cup.

It just shows that:
  1. Even though you are on a diet, you don't only change what you eat but the amount you eat even if it is healthy (and if you buy a healthy microwave meals then there is no hope it getting a decent size meal)
  2. When you see something which says low calorie, don't instantly think this is good as the quantity may be rubbish. Check the back of the package for the calories, to the amount of what ever needed i.e. water to calories.
  3. If you are on a diet I suggest you cook (not microwave or oven ready meal), and then you can control how much you wish to have (only do this if you have the control and KNOW when to stop).

First Time for Everything, or Sometimes Not.

If you are lucky enough to have a few gifts here and there or something you buy for yourself, the good thing (I assume and some people I know) about buying something cool, is that you will be the first one to open touch and possibly see the the product (before anyone you are around that time). Knowing the feeling of that you have brought something and get to open it is a little bit of the best part in buying it.

I get all happy when I open a product or some sort of gadget and get to use it first. What I don't like is when someone opens something I have brought before me taking away some of the excitement of having that product, this could be that I have brought phone and needs charging or any other gadget. I am so obsessed about it, even as little and a CD or DVD. I would like to know if I am STRANGE or do normal people feel this way comment and say YES or NO to this.

Many meaings for one thing and differnet things and many more meanings .

In school I thought of something which is very rare of me in school. After school I do archery (trying to become the next robin hood ) and at the end this French exchange teacher coming in for a short time I was talking to asked me a question.

Now most languages are easy to learn for some people and they say if you speak another language and then trying learn to speak English is the hardest Language. I didn't think was true until today. The French Exchange teacher asked me after talking about who translations come out different "Why do we call our meal in the after noon tea when we drink tea and why do we have so many words for time of day where we eat, Meal, Dinner, Lunch, Tea." One of many many questions I cannot answer.

Then she also said "You get confused when people say I am going home to have tea now, do they mean a cup of tea or eating their tea." It was a very good question and one which has never occurred. It seems to me like one of those questions what has no answer, like 'What is the meaning of life.' My answer, stare them blind in the face.

Conclusion: The English language can be very baffling at sometimes. All you have to do is just talk and not think of things like this, but also think at what you are going to say to a person first (Be careful, Serious). If you do have the answer post a comment.

Cardiffs Next Top Model ME

A couple of months ago I got asked to model for Urban Saints (formerly known as Crusaders). Urban Saints is a Christian Charity who reaches out to children and young people with the good news of Jesus Christ. They connect with the movement in a variety of ways, including weekly youth groups, special events, holidays, community projects and training programmes. If you wish to find out more click on the URL

http://www.urbansaints.org/pages/100/Home.htm

Getting back to the point. A friend who works for going public in my church asked me and a few of my friends from the youth in the church I go to help him produce a flyers for Urban Saints being in a photo shoot and for your eyes, this is the photo which he has chosen to use. The point was to get across is how 20,000 young people leave the Church. There is also an inside photo of us laughing but to small to be published. SORRY.

Music Review + Video Review

In the music business, there comes a song which you love for a while and again this has happened to me apart from that I will always love this song. Florida feat. Kesha - Right Round is a sort of remake of You Spin me Right Round by Dead or Alive and a whole load of other artist over years (but this new one is the best).

The new remake has been given an R'n'B rap mix to it making it my favourite feel good song of all time. See what you think of the new mix.

If you have already watched the video watch it again and try and notice the big Oreo Cookie which they are standing on and an Arcade music tune in the background, which just makes the song amazing.

Facebook Craze

The things which you can do on Facebook are very open and the latest craze is tagging a picture which you are not in. What I hear you say. Well someone uploads a picture of many different cartoon characters i.e. Mr Men and on this picture there are the names of the Mr Men and someone tags the photo with their friends who they think are most like one of the Mr Men. This is a good Facebook craze but as with any craze, if you do it too much then it becomes annoying.

Another craze which is annoying without any exceptions full stop is the Facebook chain. Remember the mobile phone chain where people sent you a stupid text saying send this text to 10 of your friends and you get god luck for the rest of the day or something alone those lines, and if you still get them, my thoughts are with you. Well this mobile phone chain has moved to Facebook (It just had to happen some day). So now all you see are News Feeds about notes all over your Facebook Home Tab.

Some helpful advice about the Facebook chains; if you don't want to be hated then don't start one and if you are doing it, then you are already hated by me and possibly other people. Words of wisdom STOP IT .

Purpose of life

Some days in school, you can learn nothing what so ever or be teach something you already know (most days) and sometimes you can learn somethings total new, so I could say today was my lucky day. R.E. can be a lesson which you could really hate or really love. Today the ever wondered topic came up, What's the Purpose of life.

Our Spidergraphical teacher (crazy about spider diagrams) got us to think as a class of the purpose of life taking things from what we think and from the bible, we cam up with things like :

To live and enjoy it
This could be applied in many different ways, could be a reference to free will, doing what ever ou want to do. Also could be that you have given your life to God and you are living the way you want to and are enjoying it and this is what being a christian should be like.

Life is a test
Sort of like when you take a very important test example, GCSE and A Levels, you don't get to take the test again if you did really badly. In life you come across situations where you only have one chance and if you mess it up; if your lucky you can do it again or get something out of it. As well as a test before you go to heaven,

Carry on Humanity
In the bible in Genesis 1: 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. (New International Version). So one of the purposes of life is to go and have sex and have a baby. Other whys if humanity didn't continue then population of the world would get smaller and smaller. But another issue comes into this, if we carry on humnaity the we should also be looking after the planet so in the future people would not needed to suffer as bad as us now.

To know God Prepare for heaven.
To be given the chance to know god in day to day life by going to church and in school. A big choice for someone to go to and give there life up for someone but a strong arguement to that is that Jesus, son of God gave this life up to save us from sin, it's the case of do you believe this.

Fair Trade Stall

All last week during break times in my school I have been putting on a Fair Trade stall with a little help. To be FAIR it has been a smashing success selling chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate bars, biscuits and sweets.

But I have realised over the last week how easy it is to spend a whole £5 on sweets. Buying a bag of sweets and about 10 Fair Breaks for 25p which now results in them being a addiction for me. When you have one, you have to have 5 more

News just coming in that as it is Fair Trade FORTNIGHT, so why should we not do it for another week, which means that I best scrape up some money for some more Fair Breaks for now 20p YEAH, saving 5p.
