Ripped Off By BOGOF

The other day in the Metro Newspaper (very good newspaper for free) there was a tiny little article which should have really been a full page spread. Titled
BOGOF? More like rip-off.
This if you haven't figured out already is about BOGOF offers. Recently it has been investigated that the BOGOF offers have been more like a RIPOFF. In the article they gave some figures in some of the 'retail giants' and Asdas were doing an offer which consisted of buy two packs of sausages for just £3 but the packs only cost £1. Know wonder why there prices are so low, because they are getting extra money from the offers (as they so call them).

Then the other offender is Tesco. Online 'Little Rachel's' Yogurts are normally £1.49 each but are offered at two for £3 - 2p more.
So it's not that people are stealing things from Shops, it beginning to become that shops are steeling from us as you can not pay for one separate each.

It's Not Over.

Well, another Christmas has gone and surprisingly it was better than lasts years feeling a little more Christmasy (although it seemed everyone else wasn't) but feeling a little more Christmasy is different to having a good Christmas Day. Then when you think everything is finished another crazy day comes. End of Christmas and January Sales. This day I sum by saying 'It's Christmas shopping but you are shopping for yourself.'

After getting the old money in Christmas cards I went into town today. Apart from town today just seemed to be another shopping day in town. This is because the only half or even less I had money off in the sales. The only thing I had money off was a Razor set which was £15 pound and I had it for £10. I only wanted Razors but they are so expensive I could get a hold new shaver with shaving foam and moisturiser which is surprisingly cheaper than 4 Razor Wow.

Now also Sale is different to Discount and this is what I got in Game Station after going there numerous of times and buying games I now only release that they offer student discount. Why I have not idea, shouldn't students really be studying rather than playing on game consoles (Me) NO.

So if I would give shops some advice, don't call it a mega Sale if not everything is on offer or everything on Sale.

Is There Some Reason.

Now on TV the up and coming Call Of Duty Modern War Fare 2 is going on sale on Tuesday (just some information, Game in Queens Street Cardiff is opening at 12.00.01 on Tuesday, so wish I could see the line). Now to be fair to all Consoles, not including Nintendo Consoles (Narrowing it down to 2 Companies Microsoft and Sony), the advert for COD Modern War Fare 2, at the end is advertised for Xbox. Now I know I partly own an Xbox which I love and should be liking the advert, but at the same time I don't own a PS3 but love that as I am a big Sony fan, also I think it is a bit rude that they are not showing that COD Modern War Fare 2 or even another Multi platform console game is on other consoles.

I have a theory why they could be doing this:
Many people know that it is coming to their desired console and therefore the company doesn't need to advertise the game.
The company is really Money safe and can't be bothered to make an advert about the game with their console one it.

The big Company name that doesn't show Multi Platform games on there console are Sony. The only time they show an advert including any of their consoles is when they have a new exclusive game coming out and not all the time they create an advert. I am not trying to slag off Sony but this is more advice which I am not telling Sony. They really could be losing a lot of money from not advertising enough and not selling as many consoles and games as they wish. If they are doing big advertisements in America and making money from games and consoles over there I don't know, but they could be making even more money over in other countries including United Kingdom.

First Time for Doing This

My previous post I did through E-mail. If you don't know, blogger has given you the option of writing a blog post now through E-mail and SMS Messaging. Yes I do know the option to do this has been going to a while but my reason for using it is that in my college St David's Catholic College, the stupid restrictions have been set to many sites like Facebook (totally unfair as I know that some other colleges can go on it), and blogger. Quite typical that it would do it, the main sites I normally use I can't access in my frees. Although you can really surprising you an access Youtube.

So my mentor, Jongudmund suggested writing a blog post through an E-mail and I do have to say that it has worked quite well. But as normal there are always restrictions, I might just not know how to do them. I wasn't able to place tags on there and t's just not as advanced as the blogger editing post. But if you do want to do it, the one thing I do know that you have to put the title of the blog post in the subject bar on on your E-mail.

I guess I do have the option of writing a blog post by text, but considering how log my blog posts do tend, I do love blogging but spending about £2 writing a blog post is a bit extreme and also how long it would have to take to send. I guess I could do it in very REAR times when I not near a computer or camping or something. Going to have to do that some time then.

High at the Waterfront

On Saturday I went to my first Festival in Cardiff this year and the Festival was the WOW on the Waterfront. This is the third year in a row I have seen the event in the Bay and they have been spectacular. This year's event was Very Very strange. Each year they have a different theatre company performing and this time it was the chance for the French Theatre Company Transe Express provided this years WOW on the Waterfront.

The whole concept of it was something to do with French Clowns running around and seeing which one had a bigger bell and ringing it in a cage (couldn't really understand it as most of it was in French). We were told that it was a bit like Glastonbury. In the end they all ended up pulled up up a crane on a huge wire frame. The show again was very weird and on the day I really wasn't feeling it and I thought that it was a bit just a show to make your feet hurt standing up for two hours and almost give you a beyond doubt a big neck ache looking up for an hour of it watching the spin around, go up and down playing music on a grand steal frame.

But thinking back to it, it was really great and what they did was good as well and creative. Although, one of my blogging buddies Jongudmund posted a blog post titled 'Bucketloads to do' saying how everything these days and events like this cost and I have to say I went there with mission to not spend any money but as always I spent money, nearly spent £3.20 on a Starbucks but when I got there it was just closing. So I spent £1.50 on a 'Sprite'. it's not much but in the end it all adds up (especially when you have no money to spend)
The other Spectacular thing was also the firework display was really good.

Totally Wanted UPDATED

OK with nothing to do all the day and being asleep for more than half of it, I have been research on guitar Hero games to come out. The story starts at when I got Guitar Hero World Tour GUITAR BUNDLE for XBOX 360 for my Birthday and as I knew, in result of buying world tour I would also want the drums.

The last 2 Guitar Hero games which have come out (Metallica and also Smash Hits) they haven't sold the Band Bundle and looking at the next 2 Guitar Hero games coming out in September they will be selling the full Band Bundle. Unfortunately I have spent the money on my Game card which I got after trading in my DS and Games which I got £78 and as I thought they wouldn't bring out another Band Bundle I spent it Stupidly.

In result, I will need to save up for it all over again. After calculations I worked out that solid hard working for a month will bring me to a £1. Not really it should bring me to something like £10 or so pounds away when I get EMA, (that's if I do get it) £30 a week if I go to school and £40 at the end of the month. My plans are all set for it and I can't wait.

Guitar Hero 5 is out September 2009.

Hunting Down the Worlds Most Wanted Thing.

If you are thinking of the world most wanted thing, let me put you out of your misery, is a job. When all of this stuff on the credit crunch came on the TV, my first thought is that this is not going to affect me one little bit when everything and everyone was falling around me and now I have joined the band wagon.

As I am now 16 (months ago), I am now on the Job hunt (just shows how organised I am) as also I have finished my CV with the help of Jongudmund . Looking for a job everywhere is impossible right now. Every time I look on a website searching for a job through their criteria, there is none and then they ask you to leave you details. You end up spending 20 minutes filling out all your information and a load of useless stuff to either:
1. On the last page filling out you information and then the Internet corrupts.
2. The most annoying thing is that you have taken all that time to full out all your information and then after the so many days they say that are going to reply if you do get a job, no reply.

I blame the people who started the credit crunch and in result of this, I have no money, as I have no money need a job, to get a job people need to either retire or get fired (personally prefer people getting fired) and then get paid and have money. Life's ambition.
Not sure but I might have a problem with having MONEY

Another Step for Freedom.

Last Thursday, I finally took a stand as I am now 16 and also got my free Bus pass allowing me to go anywhere on a bus in wales for FREE (all I need to do now is remember main bus roues). For the first time ever I went into Cardiff City Centre by myself, no annoying brothers, no mum dragging you into shops not normally met my men and telling you what to buy and what not to (not going with friends as well lets you get things done much quicker).

I went in to get a few bits and pieces spending around about £20 pound on one game, a mothers day card £7 headphones, a present for a friend and a simply shake for myself (treat) just shows who much £20 goes (not very far). Down side to it is that in town after school when finished getting home takes three times as long.

Then in youth getting informed by a friend that you can spend another £5 on top of 20 and get
  • 2 tops
  • 1 pair of shoes
  • 1 belt
  • 1 pair of shorts
  • 1 pair of sun glasses
  • and lunch for two people

This shows that my friend Thomas is the ultimate shopper and knows where to buy things very cheap or Primark is the cheapest shop in the world.

To Hard to Handel

Saturday nights are the best of the week, sit back, kick up your feet and watch them Saturday night programs (but this is what I do every day). The good thing about it is that you get series shows showing so when one goes another one new one comes on.

The latest series to come on our TVs for Saturday is the new game show 'The Colour of Money.' I am a person who likes games shows but trying to watch this one over my mum conversation on the phone (annoying), well all I can say is that is the Best Worst game show ever.

Twenty multi-coloured cash machines to issue a set maximum amount of money between £1000 and £20,000, with no two machines containing the same amount. As the seconds ticks by, the figure displayed increases by £1000

The longer you hold your nerve, the greater the amount available to withdraw. But get too greedy and the machine is locked down, and you get nothing.
Each player has ten chances to withdraw enough money to take them to their target - but play the game carelessly and they'll walk away empty handed

Somethings which really irritating is that when people get me tense by just watch them do something and get themselves in a sticky situation on TV or in Films. It makes me Cringe and this is what the game show is like, after watching the first contestant play,I just couldn't see someone else go through that; or me feeling like I did, so a Xbox is a second choice (NOT COURSEWORK 3rd).

Thoughtless Conversation

We today had went into Cardiff City Centre town for a massive 4 hours shopping. Ending up only going in 5 shops (how I do not know). Then leaving town I said
"This is the most I spent in town before" (Only spending £30)
Mum complaining "I came to town with you and I come out spending money which I didn't want to spend."
Now think, how many people go into town and end up not spending a penny I corrected her.
A simple Solutions to solve this; DON'T GO TO TOWN.

What rubbish.

Today as all around the country people are losing there jobs and with the winter weather there is no grit to grit the icy roads. All in the state of that there is not enough money in the Government (but more likely that they are crap with it). But with the Government there is always money to spend on pointless things.

This here is a Giant Horse or dubbed the "Angel of the South". Looking at the picture it looks as if the horse is small but this is a 164ft sculpture (50m). This stupid sculpture is being located in the north Kent Landscape.

A prancing white horse it is suppose to be (not) is the logo for the county council and has been the symbol of Kent for hundreds of years. Sorry one small detail I felt out was that it will cost 2 million pounds to make

For the importance of the mater. WHAT in the governments mind would they give someone 2 million to build this, only because Kent has not got "Angle of the South" This shows how complex the Government thinks that money is. Some advice for the Government, solve problems which we are facing now, Weather, Jobs, Heating for the elderly and a lot more. And no more utterly pointless things.
